The AI Studio is a sandbox environment designed for architects, urban planners, and designers. It allows you to upload existing photography of physical environments and dynamically re-render them with custom architectural styles, retaining flawless structural perspective.
1. Uploading Base Images
Start by creating a new chat session and uploading up to 2 base images. You can drag and drop your photos directly into the chat area, or use the image attachment icon inside your chat box.
2. Drawing an AI Mask
Masking is an optional, but highly recommended, advanced tool. If you only want to modify a specific part of your photo (e.g. only a building's facade, or only the street layout) without altering the sky, trees, or background, you can paint a mask.
- Click the "Draw Mask" button beneath your uploaded thumbnail to open the canvas editor.
- Use the Brush Tool to paint over the exact areas you want the AI to modify. Anything painted in pink will be redesigned.
- Use the Eraser Tool to clean up borders, or adjust the slider to increase/decrease the brush size.
- Use Cmd + Z (Undo) and Cmd + Shift + Z (Redo) for fast history scrubbing.
- Click "Save Mask". The AI is now instructed to leave everything outside your painted area completely untouched.
3. Guiding the AI & Prompting
To get professional before-and-after results, you need to write precise prompts. The goal is often to keep perspective, lighting, and unmasked objects perfectly identical so they make spectacular slider comparisons in your feed!
How to write the perfect edit prompt:
- Be Explicit: Describe the final materials, colors, and textures you want to see (e.g., "raw brutalist concrete", "neoclassical stone ornaments", "cozy golden-hour lighting").
- Anchor Constancy: Specifically instruct the AI to freeze unchanged elements. Use phrases like: "Keep the perspective, focal length, and surrounding background exactly the same as the original photo." or even as simply as "Keep everything else the same."
- Avoid Vague Verbs: Instead of "Make this building pretty", say "Add sleek, floor-to-ceiling glass paneling and dark wood accents to the building's facade."
4. Image Previews, Downloads & Posting
Once your generation is complete, click on the output thumbnail to open a high-resolution, full-screen viewport.
- Download: Click the "Download" button to save the high-resolution output directly to your device.
- Use for Post: Click the "Use for Post" button (sparkles icon) to instantly open the composer. It will auto-populate your generated image in the Right slot, the original photo in the Left slot, and even inherit your prompt as the caption! This lets you create perfect interactive slider comparisons with zero extra uploads.
Transparency Rule: As outlined in our Terms of Service and to comply with the EU AI Act, heavily modified or fully AI-generated images must be labeled with the "AI Generated" tag when posting to the public feed.
5. Session & History Management
Your work is automatically saved.
- Sidebar: All your chat sessions are listed in the left-hand sidebar (desktop) or under the bottom-drawer "Recent" panel (mobile). You can search your histories instantly.
- Rename & Delete: Hover over any session in your list to reveal rename and delete controls. Tap the edit icon to change the title, or delete it completely to clean up your history.
- Resubmit: If you aren't happy with your prompt, hover over your submitted message and click the edit icon to rewrite and resubmit it, automatically regenerating your images.
