The Rules

You may not share excessively gory or violent media. Furthermore, explicitly threatening, inciting, glorifying, or expressing desire for violence is not allowed.

You cannot affiliate with or promote activities of violent and hateful entities.

We will remove posts disseminating manifestos or other content produced by perpetrators, as well as suspend any accounts maintained by individual perpetrators of terrorist, violent extremist, or mass violent attacks.

You may not attack, threaten, or incite violence against other people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, caste, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability, or serious disease.

Unlike some general-purpose social networks, Demotect is focused on architectural, environmental, and visual design transformations. Explicit adult content, pornography, and sexually explicit media are strictly prohibited. Our automated moderation systems (via AWS Rekognition and OpenAI) will instantly reject and delete such imagery, and your account will get flagged and risk suspension.

We have zero tolerance for any form of child sexual exploitation (CSAM) or the physical abuse of children. Accounts found sharing such material will be permanently banned and reported to the appropriate legal authorities and organizations (such as NCMEC).

You may not share abusive content, engage in the targeted harassment of someone, or incite other people to do so. This includes repeatedly interacting with a user who has explicitly requested you stop, or organizing brigades to target a specific profile.

You may not promote, encourage, or provide instructions on suicide or self-harm.

You may not use our service for any unlawful purpose or in furtherance of illegal activities. This includes selling, buying, or facilitating transactions in illegal goods or services, as well as certain types of regulated goods or services.

You may not publish or post other people's private information (such as personal phone numbers or private residential addresses) without their express authorization. Map Pinning: While pinning posts to the Global Map is a core feature of our platform, using the map to maliciously pin private residences in an attempt to harass or expose an individual is strictly prohibited.

You may not use or attempt to use credentials, passwords, tokens, keys, or cookies to log into or modify the private information of any Demotect account other than your own.

You may not use Demotect in a manner intended to artificially amplify or suppress information. This includes operating bot networks to generate fake "Likes," artificially inflating the "Vote" count on Before/After sliders, or selling engagement metrics.

You may not impersonate individuals, groups, companies, organizations, or government entities to mislead, confuse, or deceive others. Parody, commentary, and fan accounts are permitted, provided they clearly indicate in their bio that they are not affiliated with the actual subject.

You may not use Demotect’s services for the purpose of manipulating or interfering in elections or other civic processes. This includes posting or sharing content that may suppress participation or mislead people about when, where, or how to participate in a civic process.

You may not violate others’ intellectual property rights. If you upload content that you did not personally create, you are required to have a license or explicit permission to use and redistribute the original creator's content and you are required to use our Copyright tool to declare the correct license (e.g., Creative Commons, Fair Use, Public Domain) and provide attribution to the original creator. Our interactive map relies on accurate data. You must not intentionally assign false geographic coordinates (Map Pins) to your posts to manipulate trending algorithms or deceive users. Furthermore, abusing the "Suggest Location Correction" feature to maliciously move another user's accurate post is a violation of these rules and will result in a penalized Trust Scores or even account suspension if done systematically.

You may not use the AI Studio to generate harmful, illegal, or deceptive content (including deepfakes intended to cause political or personal harm). You must not attempt to bypass or override the safety filters embedded within our AI generation models.

We encourage the use of AI to visualize architectural redesigns. However, you must accurately label synthetic or AI-generated media. When uploading an image that was generated or substantially modified by an artificial intelligence tool (including our AI Studio), you must use the platform's frictionless "AI Generated" toggle on the image to clearly mark it. Deceptively sharing synthetic media as genuine photography is prohibited.
