We are committed to maintaining a high-quality, safe, and accurate platform. Learn about the tools available to you to control your experience and help moderate the community.
1. Blocking vs. Muting Users
If you no longer wish to interact with someone, you have two options available via their profile or the "..." menu on their posts:
Blocking
Sever ties completely. Blocking immediately forces both accounts to unfollow each other. You will not see their posts, and they will not be able to view your profile, follow you, or reply to your posts.
Muting
A quieter approach. Muting removes a user's posts and comments from your feeds without them knowing. You remain following each other, and they can still view your content.
2. Reporting Content & AI Moderation
To protect the community, we employ a two-tiered moderation system combining artificial intelligence and user reporting.
- Automated Scanning: Every image uploaded to the platform is automatically scanned. Images containing extreme violence or explicit nudity are immediately rejected and deleted from our servers. Borderline content may be flagged and placed behind a sensitive content blur.
- Community Reporting: If you spot a post or comment that violates our terms (e.g., spam or harassment), click the "..." menu and select Report.
- Intellectual Property: Note that standard community reporting is not for copyright or trademark disputes. To file a formal DMCA takedown, please visit our Legal Forms & IPI Hub.
3. Map Accuracy & Location Proposals
The Global Map relies on accurate geodata. If a user accidentally (or maliciously) places a post in the wrong country or city, you can correct it.
- Open the "..." menu on the inaccurate post and click Suggest Location Correction.
- Search for the correct address or landmark using the secure dropdown.
- Submit your proposal. The community will now see a voting banner under that post.
- If the community votes and agrees with your correction, the map pin moves to the new location, and you earn points toward your Cartographer Score.
