Terms of Service
Effective Date: April 17, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Demotect, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our platform. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time, and your continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of those changes.
2. User Content & Conduct
Demotect allows you to upload, post, and share visual transformations ("Before and After" images), comments, and geographical locations. You retain all rights to your original content, but grant us a license to display it.
- Accuracy: When placing posts on the global map, you agree to provide accurate geographical locations to the best of your ability. Intentional map manipulation or abuse will result in a decrease in your Cartographer Trust Score or account suspension.
- Prohibited Content: You may not upload pornographic, illegal, highly graphic, or abusive material. Our automated moderation systems and community reporting tools may flag, blur, or remove content that violates these rules.
3. Intellectual Property & Copyright
Respect for artists, photographers, and architects is a core value of Demotect.
When uploading imagery that you did not personally create (e.g., historical archive photos, third-party renders), you must use the provided Copyright & Attribution tools to properly credit the original rights holder and declare the license type (e.g., Public Domain, Creative Commons, Fair Use).
4. AI Studio Usage
Images generated or modified using the Demotect AI Studio must be labeled as such. While you retain the rights to the prompts you create, the resulting generated images may be subject to the licensing terms of the underlying AI models. We do not guarantee the factual accuracy of AI-modified architectural renders.
5. Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms of Service, including malicious reporting, spamming the map with fake locations, or repeated copyright infringement.
